Tyrrhenian Reggino Itinerary

The second itinerary of the integrated ticket from the Calabria Cultura Pass project includes visits to the Metauros Archaeological Museum of Gioia Tauro and the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria.

An itinerary to discover the archaeological treasures of two important Magna Graecia cities in Calabria, such as Metauros (today’s Gioia Tauro), of which it is possible to appreciate the ancient finds from the Greek and Roman periods in the evocative display of Palazzo Baldari and Medma (today’s Rosarno) which is told through the museum, equipped with a modern layout and park that allows you to immerse yourself in the greenery and learn about the remains of the ancient subcolony of Locri. All this, enriched by the visit of the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, with its wonderful treasures, from the Riace and Porticello Bronzes to the Dioscuri of Locri, from the prehistoric evidence of ancient Calabria to the countless Magna Graecia finds.
