As of 28th September 2026, a major programme of restoration and conservation work has begun on the façades, gutters and rooftop terrace of Palazzo Piacentini.
The works, which will progressively involve the different façades of the building, aim to safeguard the external architectural surfaces most exposed to weathering, ensuring their safety, protection and appearance over time.

The museum is thus continuing its ongoing commitment to the care and enhancement of the building, both inside and outside its galleries, through works that contribute to preserving Palazzo Piacentini and its architectural value for the future.
The works will be carried out without affecting the normal use of the museum spaces.
