Sunday 18 May at the Museum the concert “8mm: Il suono del cinema italiano”

Sunday 18 May, to celebrate the International Museum Day (International Museum Day) promoted by ICOM, the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria proposes the concert “8mm: Il suono del cinema italiano”.

 

At 18:00, in the Piazza Paolo Orsi of the Museum will be held a concert for strings and piano that retraces the history of our country through the music that marked the Italian cinema of the twentieth century. From the intimate atmospheres of neorealism to the great scenarios of the economic boom, the OSB – Orchestra Sinfonica Brutia, re-reads soundtracks by masters such as Carlo Rustichelli, Piero Piccioni, Manuel De Sica, Riz Ortolani, Stelvio Cipriani and Ennio Morricone, Returning to the public the evocative strength and elegance of a timeless artistic heritage.

 

The event is free of charge until seats are exhausted, while to access the rooms of the Museum it is necessary to buy the ordinary ticket.
