Itinerary of the Magna Graecia Colonies – Lower Ionian Area

The first itinerary of the integrated ticket from the Calabria Cultura Pass project includes visits to the Museum and Archaeological Park of Locri, Museum and Archaeological Park of Ancient Kaulon, and the Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria.

Retrace the ancient communication routes that connected the Chalcidian colony of Rhegion to Locri Epizefiri and, even further north, the Kaulonia achea, passing through the visit of the Riace Bronzes, which were fished out right on the Ionian coasts near Locri and Kaulonia, to two of the most important archaeological parks in the region and to the two respective museums which preserve the finds discovered over years of excavations and archaeological research
