Inheriting Alterity - Closing Event
As part of the 4th edition of the International School of Cultural Heritage (ISCH), promoted by the Ministry of Culture (MiC), Directorate-General for European and International Affairs, and organised by the National School of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria has welcomed four professionals from Africa for a residency.
The closing evening of the project hosted by the Museum will be an opportunity for sharing and presenting the results of the experience, focusing on the theme Inheriting Alterity: Materiality and Ideas from the Ancient World to the Modern, the common thread of the research, enhancement and dissemination activities developed by the resident participants starting from a selection of works from the Museum’s collection.
In addition to MArRC Director Fabrizio Sudano, participants include Hafsa El Hassani (Morocco), Yanick Fredmard Mopango Etou (Congo), Aliou Ndiaye (Senegal) and Khadija Twahir (Kenya).
The evening will continue with SFUMATURE SONORE, a multidisciplinary performance combining music, poetry and dance, curated by Mana Chuma Teatro, with the participation of the resident curators and local cultural and social associations.

The event will take place on May 19 at 8:00 pm on the Museum’s Terrace. Free admission, subject to availability.
The MArRC will exceptionally remain open to the public until 11:00 pm, with last admission at 10:30 pm.
